Our next Director of Admissions will focus on marketing and messaging to prospects, applicants, and admitted candidates, recruitment strategy and implementation, and evaluation of candidates for admissions and scholarships. This individual will collaborate with the Vice Dean, Director of Admissions Operations, visit and tour personnel, and law school marketing and finance professionals, in a team effort to advance the law school's enrollment goals.

The University of Connecticut School of Law is searching for an Assistant Dean of Admissions to provide strategic and visionary leadership, direction, and administration of the Law School’s Office of Admissions. The Assistant Dean is responsible for shaping the Law School’s J.D. admissions procedures and policies to attract, evaluate, and select a diverse and academically accomplished student population, aligning these with the mission and values of the UConn School of Law, while actively contributing to the development of these values. With a comprehensive understanding of the J.D.

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports all aspects of the Law School’s admission application and recruiting process. Key areas of focus for the Assistant Director are in reviewing and evaluating applications, coordinating and participating in our Interview Program, executing admissions-related in-person and virtual programs and events, and maintaining data integrity with the Law School’s Office of Admissions and improving operational processes to meet a high level of student service.

This role will perform difficult, responsible, and confidential administrative and operational support duties for the College of Law Dean and will also assist with faculty support duties that are within the Dean’s Office. This position also plays a focal role in supporting the College Development Officer.

The Assistant Director of Admissions will serve as an integral part of the admissions team that supports the established enrollment goals for the School of Law. The primary responsibility associated with this position is prospective applicant and admitted student recruitment. This position will serve as the first point of contact for recruiting prospective students and will have significant duties and responsibilities representing the School of Law at local, regional and national recruiting events.
