This documentation includes your, your spouse鈥檚, and (if dependent) your parents鈥� federal tax forms. If you are considered an independent applicant, you must submit your and your spouse鈥檚 (if applicable) 2023 federal tax form(s). If either you or your spouse is not required to file a 2023 federal tax form, then you and/or your spouse must obtain proof of nonfiling from the IRS.

How to Obtain Proof of Nonfiling

If either you, your spouse, and/or your parents are using the IRS Form 4506-T, it needs to be sent directly to the IRS, and the IRS must return the applicable nonfiling proof directly to you, your spouse, and/or your parents.
Once you鈥檝e obtained the proof of nonfiling documentation, you must upload it to your 爱游戏体育 JD Account along with your other supporting documentation.
This is important. The IRS states that Verification of Nonfiling Letters are not available until after June 15 for the current tax year (for example, after June 15, 2024, for the 2023 tax year). 爱游戏体育 will delay sending CAS reports and all other services until Verification of Nonfiling Letters are received and fee waivers have been finalized.
Any falsification of information presented to 爱游戏体育 for consideration of a fee waiver application is subject to 爱游戏体育 misconduct and irregularities proceedings.
