How can I check if my device is compatible with the LSAT? 

Please test your equipment prior to your test via Prometric's site: . Please make sure to remove background applications prior to your test. You may refer to the Remote LSAT Checklist page for instructions.

If you do not have a compatible device, we suggest you schedule your test at a test center where a device and internet connection are provided. Alternatively, you may look into the option of borrowing a device from a friend or family member. 

What computer operating systems are supported by ProProctor?

For a Mac: All versions of MacOS 12 Monterey, MacOS 13 Ventura 13.3 and higher, MacOS 14 Sonoma, and MacOS 15 Sequoia are supported. 

For Windows: Please make sure you have Windows 8.1 or higher installed. 

I tested with Prometric before and received a message saying, 鈥淪ecuring network/device.鈥� What do I need to do so this doesn鈥檛 happen again? 

This message usually means you have a firewall enabled or background applications that need to be closed out before you can connect to your proctor.  Please visit the links below to disable background applications and firewalls:

I scheduled to take my test at a test center. What do I need for my in-person testing session?

Please make sure you have a valid ID. Please memorize your JD Account username, password, and your confirmation number as you will need these items to take the test. Please review Identification Accepted for LSAT Admission for more information about ID requirements.

Are there any tips to get ready for my test?

Will there be technical support available while I take the LSAT?

If taking the LSAT in a remote, live-proctored environment: Please first restart your computer and reopen the ProProctor page. Click the 鈥淐ontact Support鈥� button on the top right. Once on the ProProctor Help page, please click the chat button on the bottom right corner. You will be prompted to answer a series of questions before connecting to a live agent. Please be advised that the live agent will not be able to remote into your computer but will assist you with questions and prompt action to resolve your issues. Once your issue is resolved, they will direct you on the steps needed to reconnect to a readiness agent and then to a proctor.

If taking the LSAT in person at a Prometric test center: The test center staff will monitor you during your test, and their assistance will be available to all test takers. Please always make sure you follow the instructions of your proctor. 

I changed my mind and want to move my June 2025 LSAT to a future administration. Is this possible?

Yes, you may complete a test date change directly from your account by June 3, 2025. Fees will apply.
